About this deal

Personally, I do not trust these figures; the increase in barrel length from 16 to 20” could not by itself result in such a dramatic increase in velocity with this ammunition. Small enough to take anywhere, they're ideal for getting great views for that next holiday, concert, or sporting event.

The biggest drawback is that the lube groove is exposed to powder in the case, which means I’m getting into powder coating boolits. All come in a porro prism design and with a host of quality features that you would normally only expect to find on far more expensive optics.

Mauser” which was the designation for ball ammunition of this caliber in Hungary, so he is not likely talking about them as being the “special loads. I should perhaps explain that I kicked off this discussion on my forum because I was curious about the ballistic performance of the 9 x 25 compared with the 9 x 19, especially when loaded up to give maximum performance in an SMG. Sig I load because I like the flawless feeding of the bottle neck cases and the high performance I can get from heavier bullets I can't get from the 9mm.

As mentioned on my forum the third edition of ‘The Gun Digest Book of Assault Weapons’ has an article which mentions the 9 x 25 used in the Kiraly/Danuvia 39M and 43M SMGs.Various contributors responded, quoting bullet weight and muzzle velocity figures for the 9 x 25 Mauser from a variety of sources. me, I was working out of state, so the barrel sat on the reloading bench next to an (also) unopened set of 9x25 Dillon dies. On a 5 station press my station sequence would work be ideal, on a four station, I'd need a taper crimp seating die (on the way here) and even better that in addition to the Dillon die fixed so that it doesn't under size the neck. My first thought is that perhaps with the correct loadings you would hit the sweet spot ( especially with a 6in barrel) with a slightly heavier bullet, as perhaps it would be more efficient. Super (and later 9x19 "Major") loads to a point that the extra rounds that would fit maximum-allowed length magazines outweighed any muzzle flip advantage from the 9×25mm Dillon.

A Porro design with BK-7 glass and multicoated optics create a viewing experience of clarity and high contrast while blue tinted lenses help reduce glare. The only significant variation in military bullet weights I have encountered are the two “special loadings” already mentioned for the 39/43M in Thompson’s article: 156 grain ball and 139 grain AP. That’s why we’ll make it in our best interest to offer you the very best option should you find them cheaper. I have never seen any load from Hungary that has special markings for AP, nor any box label for one.

For my powder selection I am currently sticking with BlueDot, it meters well has consistent velocities and as a bonus creates huge fire balls when shot during the day and lights up the surrounding area at night as seen in the video that I put together. Stone said, I can tweak the barrel chamber, but at 9x25 Dillon pressures, you're going to experience unpleasant case separations! Anything that isn’t as you would expect, we then make a note of and show this in the condition notes on the page. Tony, the post that you mention is the reason I’m asking here, to get maybe an independent confirmation to this info. The Mountaineer has more contrast and more controlled internal reflections due to coatings as well as better internals.

After fire forming it seems easier to load each round but I still use the expander and then follow up with the crimp die to take any extra flare out of the brass before shooting, this round likes a solid but not overly tight crimp in my experience. Including an ergonomic body made from light and durable carbon fibre with a tough rubber armor coating and aspherical lenses that minimise distortion and provide sharp images up to the periphery. Fast and easy trade in service ensures your old gear is collected efficiently and you are paid quickly! Strange bottleneck, you have to size your own brass from 10mm, the dies are really tricky to adjust and. The greater the gas volume, or the pressure that gas is at, the more force the compensator or muzzle brake creates.
