About this deal

This is another No 7 serum with the anti-aging peptide complex Matrixyl 3000 as the key ingredient to help reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

As you’ll soon learn, this brand is most well known for its anti-aging serums, particularly the No 7 Retinol Serum. Based on the name, you’d think this serum contains 1.5% retinol, right? Well, that’s actually not the case.

While Matrixyl 3000 is an excellent ingredient, the rest of this formula is rather simple. It mostly consists of humectants, aluminum starch octenylsuccinate, and polyacrylate crosspolymer-6. Including 1.5% in the name of this product is slightly misleading, in our opinion. But the good news is that even 0.3% pure retinol is enough to produce noticeable results. What kind of results can you expect? Lightweight and fast-absorbing, our protecting and moisture renewing formula instantly softens and smooths skin's texture, while working to intensively condition the skin and delay future signs of ageing with regular use. Hands continue to feel hydrated even after washing.

Like we mentioned above, vitamin C is an antioxidant that protects against free radicals, helps to fade dark spots, evens out skin tone, increases radiance, and promotes firmer skin. BIG MISTAKE! After first day I got a sore dry spot on my upper lip but did not connect it to the serum. It got worse over couple of days, burning & tingling- I even thought I’d somehow got a cold sore (never had one in my life) Dr Bexfield says you should always use an SPF on your hands. Hands are exposed to the sun 365 days a year, and a broad spectrum sunscreen will protect them from aging UV/UBA rays as well as harsh weather conditions. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that can help nourish and protect the skin on the hands. Aloe Vera is an excellent ingredient for soothing irritated skin. How we tested themNo7 retinol hand cream is specifically designed to protect hands from dryness whilst reducing visible signs of ageing and unwanted pigmentations on hands and nails. This innovative formula strengthens nails and softens cuticles. The cream has a non-greasy consistency which is easily absorbed and helps to moisturise and nourish the skin. The rich formula slows down the ageing process, reduces the production of melanin and minimises the development of hyperpigmentation. These active ingredients strengthen, tone and prevent skin and nails from peeling. Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a product to temporarily disguise crow’s feet, this No 7 eye cream is a good option. D’Alchemy as a brand uses natural products and nothing is tested on animals. This particular hand cream was vegan, too. It contains sandalwood, mandarin, grapefruit, cedar and vanilla. The cream itself was quite thin, so a fair amount was needed. It’s a pale yellow colour, and smelled very zesty and sweet – like a lemon drizzle cake. It’s a rather greasy cream and took a while to absorb into skin, but the delicious smell did last. It left a light film on our hands, but they definitely felt softer and more hydrated. We also felt it needed to be applied more often than some of other creams we tested. Retinol Optimiser - an intelligent slow-release oil encapsulation system for enhanced delivery of pure retinol. Sara is probably right in thinking that you might be allergic to something in your Lift and Luminate cream.

With continued use our lightening complex helps to fade appearance of dark spots and help prevent new ones forming, while our skin firming pro-retinol complex works to help restore and maintain supple feeling skin. Formulated with Pro-Vitamin B5 for healthy nails and cuticles. Lightening Complex: Our unique blend of Emblica and Vitamin C. This hand cream leaves skin looking renewed and revitalised.Oregon is a specialist brand which includes naturally active products developed specifically to help manage skin and scalps prone to psoriasis. The Rescue Serum contains grape root, horse chestnut extracts, caffeine and zinc. It looks like a clinical product, but if you suffer from very dry hands, this is the cream for you. Our tester suffers from mild eczema and this is irritating: itchy and very flaky. Hand creams do go some way to alleviate symptoms but this serum went one step further and seemed to disappear our usual signs of eczema. After four days it had cleared up almost completely.
